1) The form email submission works like the below format. It will list the name of the field and then the value submitted.
|
Name=Test2 |
2) If you get an email form submission like
| First Name=Test&Last Name=Test&Home Phone=Test &Email=Test@Test.com&Comments=Testing&submit=submit |
Response:
The forms are supported only if somebody submits the form a computer.
We have not tested the form submission in mobile devices.
It's not officially supported yet but we have plans to support in future.
Also, the form data display format is not controlled by us as different email clients interpret html emails differently. The same email client can display the email differently in diff computers depending on the settings on the email client.
3) Spam mails - If you get an email form submission like
| Name= Hello! fdcddke interesting fdcddke site! I'm really like it! Very%2C very fdcddke good! &Email= Hello! fdcddke interesting fdcddke site! I'm really like it! Very%2C very fdcddke good! |
Response:
The standard web forms in the website are not secured, so internet spammers have spam programs that can auto submit the web site form with all the junk content.
There is a technology called "Captcha" that can prevent auto form submission by spam programs.
Once the capatch is integrated in the site, it will force somebody to type some displayed numbers and letters in the Captcha box to make sure that some human is submitting the form request.
Captcha can be integrated in your site but it involves additional programming. Please contact revize support at support@revize.com or 248-269-9263 if you need to secure your web forms.
Please check if you have captcha activated for your forms.
If Yes , your form needs to be nested within a table for that captch code to show up on the page and work.
Build a test form using the quick form builder, You wil see it will work fine. The form elements needs to be properly nested within a table for the captcha code to work.
In the form properties, the below fields needs to have just one email id each and not multiple

Deleted files may still be cached after you remove them so you may need to clear your cache afterward to see that your file is deleted. Search results from Google or Bing will still show the link in their results until their crawlers recognize the file is gone and the result is dropped. Until then the link will return a 404 because the file or page has been deleted.

Browsers not supporting fillable PDF is not not a Revize issue as we don't have any control on either browsers or pdfs. As far as we know PDFs need to be downloaded and saved to local computer and filled in if people are using non IE browsers. That's what is written in Adobe support forum and PDF is Adobe company's product.

Then close all your browsers, open a new one and try it
and let us know if you still have issues.
- Login and browse to the page that you need to move.
- Copy the URL of the browsed page from the browser address bar.
- Then browse to the section where you want to put the new link, use Link Manager Existing page Option while creating the link and then past the URL that you had copied.
- Once the new link is established, browse back to the original section and then delete that link.
Moving a page from one section to another just moves the links in the navigation and does not change its breadcrumb or url.
To have a relevant url and breadcrumb, you will have to recreate that page under the new section and re-populate it.
Note : If you don't see all the folders under file manager , please let us know and we will fix it for you.
Internal links opening in a new window is not standard and highly discouraged as that will keep on popping up many windows, If the internal link is a PDF or word doc, then it will automatically open in a new window. However, if is a web page, then it will automatically open in the same window.
There is no turn on/off feature. However you can login to the admin page of your site (admin.php) and first create a link to the page that you want to unlink from the site. After you establish the link to that page from admin page, you can delete the link from the site and then when you want to put it back, you can create it and use the existing page option and link to the one in the admin page.
Links created from the admin page wont be visible in your site navigation, no one can browse to the page from anywhere in your site.
Note : Always first create the link from somewhere and then delete, in order to keep the pages active , reversing the order wont work.
Keep in mind this feature is not going to be functional until your website is LIVE.
If the site is live, then read below
The activation and expiration dates needs to be greater than the current date and time.
If using today's date, then please specify the time as well in hh:MM, AM or PM format (greater than the current time).
example 04-17-2014 10:30 AM
Make sure that the time entered is GREATER THAN the current time.
If you create a new page and don't want that to be landing page,
Please use "the existing page" option in Link Manager and then
type "#" without quotes and save the page.
But you cant change already existing pages unless you delete it and recreate it.
Note : If you are palnning to use page permissions feature to allow content editing to different users, in that case it is a good practice to have the landing pages and we strongly recommend creating landing pages instead of creating links that is not clickable.
Google is what we use to search our sites because it the best tool out there.
The search form on your website is an application powered by Google. It displays results for your website only once Google crawls and indexes the pages.
You will see pages from your old site just until Google drops the old site pages and re-index's your new one
(we have no control over the that and how long it will take). The great thing about Google is
that is can actually search inside documents for key words. If you have any other questions please let us know.
To get rid of the advertisements, Google has a paid search API that can be used. It costs 200 dollars/year to use that service.
We can sign up for that service and bill you annually. Let us know.
This is not a revize software issue, the email links not working in a machine is definitely related to the machine where you are looking at the link. Please ask your IT support to look into this issue.
Possible reasons could be :
1. Email client - Please check if the email client is there and working good in the machine you are checking .
2. Machine specific issue - Try testing in some other machine.
By including an anchor tag within a page, you can place links anywhere in your site which when clicked allow the reader to jump to a particular location of a page.
Steps :
Edit the page and put an anchor tag in the particular area where you wish to browse (Anchor Tag icon can be found in the editor between the link manager and image manager icons)
If you are linking to a spot on the same page, Use the link manager and choose the option Link to Bookmark (anchor) and select the anchor you wish to and save.
The above anchor link only works when you are jumping to a specified spot on the same webpage.
If you want a link to jump a specific location on a different page, you'll need to add #anchor_name after the full URL for the page.
- Edit the page that you want to copy and in the editor, go the HTML source mode by clicking the html icon in the last row.
- Copy the html and paste it in the new page in html source mode
- That way you dont have to recreate all links etc
- and it saves time
Note : Only signed-in users will have editing rights. All others will only see content.
You need to edit the link which you wish to have its own leftnav menus and select the option in link manager to Page starts new side navigation links and save.
Note : You cannot revert the changes back, i.e, You can change from "Page shows the same side navigation links as the parent page" to "Page starts new side navigation links" but not vice-versa
And this option is not available for pages created from the editor and only for pages created from the navigational menus (top/left)
when you select the text to link it to a file, you may be double clicking on the word which may have extraneous hidden characters that gets selected and for which the page throws this error.
Solution :
Instead of double clicking the word for selecting it, please put your cursor before the first letter of the word and use shift plus right arrow key in computer keyboard to select letter by letter until the end of the word, that will fix this issue.
To delete a file
- You need to first select the file in the editor and click on the unlink icon in the editor and save the page
- Then again edit the page and go to file manager and click on the file to highlight it.
- Click Delete Above Selection. The Delete selected image dialog box opens.

Note it will prompt you with the following
"This specified url was not found.
Click Ok to continue anyway or
Click Cancel to enter another url."
Just click OK and you are all set.
1. Browse to www.*yourdomain*.com/redirect.php (Please substitue *yourdomain* with your website.
2. Click on "Edit This List" (you must be login to the site)
3. Create a link for the redirect, you must select freeform or fullwidth template to create the new page.
[ e.g. for www.orangecountync.gov/events, you would type "events" into the filename for page field ]
4. Once the page is created exit from menu manager and browse to the newly created page
5. Click on "edit meta data"
6. Once the form opens, you will see an option to enter the redirect URL. Enter the full URL with http:// where you want the redirect to point to
7. Save the page.
2. Then click on the link icon in the editor and create the link
That should get rid of the error.

Email Notify Issues
Step 1. Please try to subscribe using your yahoo or google email address and see if you are still getting the emails when you update the page.
Step 2.
If that test is successful, you can be sure that your email server is blocking mail from our mail server (pop.emailsrvr.com)You need to allow it and then you can get the mail.
If that test is unsuccessful, please contact revize technical support at support@revize.com

If a page has subscribers, then you will see the radio button(yes/no) in the editform. The yes/no option will be visible only if at least one user has subscribed to that page.
To remove subscribers in the admin center:
- Go to "Resources" and then "Modules."

- Click "Delete" beside the specific subscriber's email to remove them.
If you require an absolute deletion of all subscribers at any point in time, please let us know and we can handle it for you.
The issue is likely occurring because your email being used by the system is not valid.
Please confirm that the following two email addresses are valid on your mail server
noreply@"yourdomain".com/org/gov
and
subscribers@"yourdomain".com/org/gov
If they are valid email addresses and you are still not receiving any emails from Revize features, please add the following TXT record to the DNS.
