All students entering North Carolina school must be current on all state required vaccines.
All students entering the 7th grade are required to have a Tdap AND a Meningococcal Vaccine.
- Tdap Vaccine can protect adolescents and adults from tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis.
- Meningococcal Vaccine can protect children ages 2-18 from meningitis.
Sampson County Health Department provides the Tdap and Meningococcal Vaccines as well as other immunizations to prevent the spread of Communicable Disease.
North Carolina law now requires all students entering a North Carolina school for the first time to have a complete physical examination.
