Hazel Park Raceway
First opened in 1949, the Hazel Park Raceway has been in operation for over six decades. As America's first 5/8ths mile track, the Hazel Park Raceway has attracted some of the nation's top jockeys, trainers and equines since its inception. Originally a dual-breed facility from its inception, the track switched to hosting only harness racing from 1985 until last year. In 2014 the Raceway was converted back for thoroughbred use seen today. In addition to live racing some of the track's amenities include full-card simulcasting, the Top of the Park Grill, Bridge Lounge, and Homestretch Bar. The Hazel Park Raceway is located at the corner of 10 Mile Rd. & Dequindre. More information can be found at the track's own website listed below.
